Benefits of Effective Microorganisms in lined ponds & biotopes
Intensive algae growth and turbidity of the water are mainly due to a too high nutrient content and not properly functioning cycles. Effective microorganisms (EM) work against the algae problem and stabilise these cycles. They promote ecological balance, plant growth and thus reduce algae formation.
- Reduce decay in sediment, prevent nutrient re-suspension into the water body
- Promote aquatic plants that are in nutrient competition with algae
- EM reduce algae problems by reducing the amount of nutrients in the water
