Cleaning the greenhouse

Ideal cleaning method

To ensure that the light levels and temperature in your greenhouse are always ideal and that no pests or diseases can make their way inside, you should clean it thoroughly at least once a year.

The glass can become covered not just with normal dust and dirt but also with limescale deposits and algae. As a result, not enough sunlight will reach the inside of the greenhouse through the dirty panes and this will make it difficult for your plants to thrive.

A good time to clean is either in the autumn after you have picked your vegetables or in the spring before you start planting.

A greenhouse with a naturally balanced environment

To bring the greenhouse environment into the correct balance, we recommend spraying the inside with biostimulant preparations. This will help to make the greenhouse even cleaner and encourage positive microorganisms to populate all the surfaces. It also suppresses the bacteria that cause rotting. without using any chemicals.

Using Roots

Spray all the greenhouse surfaces thoroughly with a solution of MK Soil and water (in a ratio of 1:10).

How can I clean my greenhouse most effectively?

The floors and shelves should be thoroughly cleaned after every crop to ensure good hygiene in the greenhouse.

Removing plant  residues and organic deposits from the greenhouse prevents pests such as insects and mould spores from spreading and creates the ideal conditions for planting new crops.

How often should I clean my greenhouse?

You can use a probiotic cleaner at any time. It offers many advantages.

You can clean empty shelves next to crops using eMC® power cleaner without causing any harm to the plants. This highly efficient cleaner should be diluted  1:500 with water and sprayed on the surfaces that need cleaning. After a short time, the enzymes and microorganisms in the cleaner begin to loosen organic deposits, inhibit mould and neutralise musty smells in a natural way.

How can I remove mould and fungi from my greenhouse?

The surfaces cleaned with a probiotic product are already populated with positive microorganisms that will provide long-term protection against mould spores and other fungi (biocontrol).  This effect can be improved by rinsing the surfaces and then spraying all of them (not forgetting underneath the overhangs) with a solution of MK Soil and water (1:10).

Dust and dirt particles are also constantly being deposited on the inside and outside of the panes of glass and plastic film. This reduces the amount of light entering the greenhouse and provides additional areas for mould spores to settle. The glass or film should also be cleaned once a year with probiotic cleaner.

This is a simple and natural way of creating the perfect conditions for your plants in the greenhouse.
