„Cooking and baking are an important part of my life. Many people can't understand it, but baking is my way of relaxing. I’ve been testing and experimenting with new recipes and ingredients for 30 years. I’ve had lots of surprises with various dishes, both pleasant and not so pleasant. I had one of the pleasant surprises last year when I tested a new sweetener while baking. Melado organic molasses and Mascavo organic whole cane sugar are a delicious alternative to white sugar. The unique taste of the products reminiscent of caramel adds the perfect touch to my sweet pastries. And the best thing is they can be used in a wide variety of ways: to sweeten drinks and pastries, as an ingredient in savoury spreads or as a glaze for my own Christmas goose.
Of course, I had to alter my cooking routine as I had been using white sugar almost exclusively for years. But the taste and the benefits of these products won me over. For special occasions, I like to make caramelized fruit with Mascavo. This dish always brings out the Christmas cheer in my guests.
