Field report by Dr. Joachim Kreuzinger

Dr. Joachim Kreuzinger is a vet from Allhaming (Upper Austria) and has worked successfully with Effective Microorganisms since the 1990s. He was introduced to EM by a farmer friend: "He told me that since he'd been using EM his slurry was much more liquid and the fly population had radically depleted. This made me curious and I began to try EM for myself. After a few successful trials I was convinced of its benefits and I've been increasingly using EM in my work as a vet ever since."

Dr. Joachim Kreuzinger's application of EM
"I primarily recommend EM for antibiotic treatment in order to stabilise the flora of the intestine as quickly as possible and as a concomitant treatment for diarrhoea. I am also increasingly using EM to treat wounds, especially large grazes. I recommend using EM as a spray treatment in stables – it has proven itself in ensuring a good climate for both new builds and when disinfecting. Effective Microorganisms are of course not a form of medication, but they can create a positive germ environment: they increase the number of "good" bacteria, prevent putrefaction (including in the gut) and reduce the number of harmful germs."

Tip from Dr. Joachim Kreuzinger for all EM users:
"Effective Microorganisms should above all be applied regularly and correctly to promote full effectiveness. All my best experiences with EM have been when I have continuously used it as fodder over a long period (product: FHE – Fermented Herbs Extract). This also explains why Effective Microorganisms have proven to be such a good silage-making product (product: MK Multisil), as they stabilise the germ environment in the silo and are taken in by the animals via the silage, which is really good for their digestive tract."
