Effective Microorganisms sewage plants

Function

Fats and oils: Problems that are caused by fats and oils in the pipework and in the sewage plant can be solved before they occur using the eMB products. If the pipework in the pumping stations has already been treated, fat accumulation can be prevented and basic cleaning of the pipes becomes much easy and less frequent. Furthermore, when positive microorganisms find a hold, corrosion, which is caused by H2S and other corrosive substances in the sewage, is completely repressed.

Odour elimination

Hydrogen sulphide (H2S), ammonia (NH3) and other biogases in the plumbing system can be completely eliminated by adding eMB products to the pipework system, pressure mains and pumping stations. Microorganisms in the eMB products remove the SRB (sulphate reducing bacteria) that are responsible for producing H2S, their basic survival needs and H2S cannot survive.

Unlike the dosage of oxidizing agents and direct oxygen flow in the pipework, eMB Microorganisms establish a sewer film that remains and can be sustained with very small doses. A simple, cost-efficient solution for an age-old problem.

Odour elimination in pumping stations, pipes, pressure pipelines

Dosage per 5 m³ of sewage flow per day

1 l eMB Activated

eMB Activated is added to the pumping station or pressure pipeline using an automatic dosing station and dosing pump or a regular manual dosage (at least 3 times per week). After a while (2-8 weeks depending on the length of the pipe) the Effective Microorganisms have established themselves so well in the pipe’s sewage film that odours no longer occur and far and other secretions stick.

Odour elimination in halls and closed processing plants

1 l eMB Activated mixed with 100 l water (1:100)

Spray eMB solution in the area for ten minutes at least once a day, using spray guns or a hand spray device. It is optimal to install an automatic spray device that automatically sprays small amounts of eMB solution into the room several times a day.

Reduction of bulking or floating slime

Spraying eMB products on the surface of bulking or floating slime can reduce them to a minimum or completely eliminate them with lasting effect. On one hand, microorganisms in eMB products are able to directly attack and remove the filamentous bacteria responsible for this floating slime and on the other hand, remove their basic survival needs. They can reduce long chain fatty acids, which provide the main source of nutrients for most organisms that form floating slime, to short chain fatty acids. These short chain fatty acids are a simple food for the organisms working in the sewage plant and floating slime can no longer occur.

Spray the following solution on the surface at least once a week:

2 l eMB spray solution per m² of the surface

eMB spray solution:

2 % eMB Activated

1% eMB Starter

97% water

If the layer of slime is already over 20 cm high, spray this solution every day until there is a visible change to the surface. Blisters form, which cause the fermentation in the layer of slime. If a light, moist layer of slime reappears, continue with the normal treatment described above.

Fat separator

Regular dosages of eMB products in the fat separator mean that fat is already broken down in the fat separator and bad odours are suppressed. This significantly increases the draining intervals and prevents sewage loaded with fat from being discharged into the pipework.

At the same time, the pipes in the house are cleaned from within and blockages can no longer occur.

First treatment per 100 l capacity

0.5 l eMB Activated

100 g EM Bokashi K

0.1 l eMB Starter

Continuous treatment per day

1 l eMB Activated per 50 covers

Additional intensive treatment in the case of extreme contamination or a very small capacity

0.1 l eMB Starter per 50 covers

Simple empty the products into the kitchen drain and wash down with some water. Using eMC Cleaner in restaurants automatically improves the fat separator’s functionality and saves money spent on cleaning.
