Composting sewage

For quick, odourless composting.

Using Multikraft products in composting can almost entirely eliminate bad odours (H2S, NH4, etc.) and can considerably reduce labour costs during composting.

Using Multikraft products in the compost heap also makes it easier to break down and compost difficult raw materials (fats, oils, sewage, etc.). Compost from biological waste or sewage compost can be produced using this method in just 6-8 weeks, without odour and at very little cost. We would be happy to advise you on location.

Sewage sludge composting

1. Building the heap

The heap should have a C:N ratio ideal for composting (1:15 – 30) and an optimal moisture content of 35 – 50%, before the microorganisms are introduced.

eMB Active is introduced into the compost material equally when building the heap

(1 l eMB Active / m³). 0.1 litre eMB Starter per m³ should also be added if the compost materials are especially hard to compost (e.g. calcium, etc.).

2. Fermentation phase (1st – 4th week)

The heap should rest – protected from the rain – for at least 3 weeks. During this time, it must not be used or ventilated. If the heap is too moist, it should be used to reduce moisture.

3. Break down phase

To accelerate the break down, use and at the same time spray with eMB Active (0.1 l eMB Active per m³) once a week after the fermentation phase.

4. Result

After 6-8 weeks and just 4 turning processes, the sewage compost is ready.
