Biological waste composting
1. Building the heap
The heap should have a C:N ratio ideal for composting (1:15 – 30) and an optimal moisture content of 35 – 50% (depending on the structure), before the microorganisms are introduced.
eMB Active is introduced into the compost material equally when building the heap (1 l eMB Active / m³). 0.1 litre eMB Starter per m³ should also be added if the fat content is especially high.
2. Fermentation phase (1st – 4th week)
The heap should rest – protected from the rain – for at least 3 weeks. During this time, it must not be used or ventilated. If the heap is too moist (heap runs off), it should be used to reduce moisture.
3. Break down phase
To accelerate the break down, use and at the same time spray with eMB Active (0.1 l eMB Active per m³) once a week after the fermentation phase.
4. Result
After 6-8 weeks and just 4 turning processes, the biological waste compost is ready.
