AgricultureBREAKING NEW GROUND...
The use of Effective Microorganisms (EM) in agriculture is opening up new dimensions. Both for organic businesses and in the conventional agricultural industry, EM is providing a wide range of possible applications.
The Effective Microorganisms promote the vitalising forces of nature and are particularly influential in the anaerobic sections of the soil and the plant. They are a great help – particularly in areas where problems with decomposition and pest infestation occur. Effective Microorganisms create an environment that represses pathogenic germs and counteracts environmental pollution. With the help of Effective Microorganisms, it is possible not only to cultivate more fertile soil and more resistant flora and fauna, but also to produce high-quality foods that are particularly rich in antioxidants. |

Family Arnhof’s carp pond
in Motten bei Heidenreichstein, Waldviertel, Lower Austria
Results of EM use:
Using EM meant that there were no failures, whereas other ponds nearby suffered total loss as a result of the high temperatures.
Fishing was able to establish the second positive effect: no more carp were affected by the carp louse, nor did the fish have any illnesses. All fish were in very good condition, which lasted for the entire cultivation time.
Another positive effect of the Effective Microorganisms was on the quality of the fish meat. Everyone who consumed these EM carp observed an improvement in the fish’s taste, quality and shelf life.
